Farm Aid, the iconic music and food festival dedicated to supporting America’s family farmers, will make its Minnesota debut on Saturday, September 20, 2025. This milestone 40th anniversary event will take place at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, bringing together legendary musicians, local food, and a powerful mission.
A Star-Studded Lineup
This year’s Farm Aid will feature board members Willie Nelson & Family, Neil Young (with the Chrome Hearts), John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews (with Tim Reynolds). Also on the bill are Margo Price, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, Waxahatchee, Eric Burton of Black Pumas, Jesse Welles, Madeline Edwards, and more acts yet to be announced — including local Minnesota performers.
More Than Just Music
The festival runs from noon to 11 p.m. and is famous for its Homegrown Concessions, where all food is sourced from local and family farmers. This is an opportunity to taste the very best in Minnesota’s sustainable agriculture, meet the farmers behind the food, and learn about the importance of rural advocacy.
Why Minnesota Matters for Farm Aid
Founded in 1985 by Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Neil Young after Bob Dylan’s call to support farmers at Live Aid, Farm Aid has raised over $85 million to help family farmers. Choosing Minnesota for the 2025 show is symbolic — the state has a rich tradition of rural advocacy and leadership in sustainable agriculture policy.
As Willie Nelson put it: “Family farmers are the heart of this country… This year, we’re proud to bring Farm Aid to Minnesota to celebrate the farmers who sustain us and to fight for a food system that works for all of us.”
