A Viral Loungewear Brand Is Coming to Minnesota
One of TikTok's most talked-about loungewear brands is trading its online-only setup for a real storefront in the Twin Cities. Comfrt, based in Amityville, New York, will open its first ever brick-and-mortar location at the Mall of America this winter.
Comfrt built its name on weighted hoodies and weighted blankets designed around comfort and stress relief. Its Airplane Mode Travel Hoodie has become a signature piece, featuring an eye mask built into the hood and a set of hidden zippered pockets. For Minnesota shoppers who have only ever seen these products on a screen, this winter brings a chance to try them in person.
The Details on the New Store
The new Comfrt shop will occupy just under 2,690 square feet in the western part of the mall's first level in Bloomington. It is the brand's very first physical store, which makes the Mall of America a notable launch point for a company that grew almost entirely through social media.

Comfrt fits neatly into a strategy the mall has leaned into lately. Leadership has been actively pursuing digitally native brands that often have few or no physical stores, responding to shoppers who want a see, feel, and touch experience again. That demand is especially strong among Gen Z shoppers who live on social media but still want to shop in person.
Comfrt is not alone in making the move to Bloomington. It joins recently announced arrivals including French gelato maker Amorino, an Adidas store, and Korean lifestyle brand Noriteo. Together they signal a busy season of new retail at one of Minnesota's biggest destinations.
