Dangerous Man Brewing Is Coming Back to Minnesota
For Minnesota craft beer fans, this is the comeback story they’ve been waiting for: Dangerous Man Brewing is returning.
From Taproom Darling to Closure
Dangerous Man first opened in Northeast Minneapolis in 2013, quickly becoming a neighborhood favorite known for its creative beers and community atmosphere. For a decade, owners Rob Miller and Sarah Bonvallet built the brand into one of the most recognized names in Minnesota craft brewing.
But after their taproom building was sold in 2023, the original location closed. Their Maple Lake production facility followed earlier this year, after a failed capital campaign for a new taproom. It looked like the end of an era.
A New Owner Steps In
Enter Jeremy Kuhns, the founder of Rafters Brewing in Lakeville and a former educator. After meeting Miller while looking at equipment, the two realized there was an opportunity to bring Dangerous Man back. Kuhns has now purchased the brand and Maple Lake facility, with Miller returning as head brewer.
What’s Next for Dangerous Man
Production is expected to resume this year, with cans hitting liquor store shelves by November. Alongside the return of fan-favorite beers, the relaunch will feature new options like THC tonics and nonalcoholic brews.
Perhaps most exciting, plans are in motion for a new Twin Cities metro taproom — though the exact location hasn’t been announced.
Why It Matters
Dangerous Man’s revival is more than just another brewery opening. For many Twin Cities residents, it represents a return of community, creativity, and local pride in the Minnesota craft beer scene.
If you loved their Peanut Butter Porter or Chocolate Milk Stout, you just might see it back in your pint glass soon.
