Summit Orthopedics Opens in Plymouth

Summit Orthopedics Opens in Plymouth

H1: Summit Orthopedics Opens New 78,000-Square-Foot Facility, Kicking Off Plymouth’s Boulevard Redevelopment

Plymouth’s west side is entering a new era. The long-vacant Prudential campus near Interstate 494 and Bass Lake Road has officially begun its transformation — and the first tenant is already open for business.

H2: Summit Orthopedics Leads the Way

Woodbury-based Summit Orthopedics has opened its newest and largest location yet: a 78,000-square-foot clinic and surgery center at 6050 Sycamore Lane North. This state-of-the-art facility provides orthopedic urgent care, surgeries, imaging, and physical therapy — offering patients convenient access to world-class care without a hospital visit. Staff relocated from Summit’s previous Plymouth office to this new site in late September.

The Plymouth hub joins Summit’s other Twin Cities locations in Eagan, Vadnais Heights, Woodbury, Eden Prairie, and Minnetonka, further expanding the brand’s footprint in the metro.

H2: The Boulevard — A 75-Acre Mixed-Use Vision

The new Summit building is part of The Boulevard, a sweeping 75-acre redevelopment plan led by Scannell Properties and Roers Companies. The co-developers purchased the site for $20 million after Prudential relocated to downtown Minneapolis in 2022.

Once complete, The Boulevard will include:

  • A Coborn’s grocery store, opening as early as February 2026

  • Four residential buildings, beginning with the 207-unit Belterra complex

  • Retail and medtech office space

  • Waterfront dining, parks, and nature trails

The vision: create a modern live-work-play destination that blends health care, housing, and recreation — all in the heart of Plymouth.

H2: Growth Momentum in Plymouth

The Boulevard isn’t the only major development in Plymouth. Just blocks away, Philips is investing $31 million to expand its medtech facility — reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a hub for healthcare innovation and high-quality living.

With new housing, retail, and healthcare investments pouring in, Plymouth is poised to redefine its west metro identity.
