SliceCraft Opening in Big Lake Brings Chef Driven Pizza to the Northwest Metro
A new pizza concept is heading to Big Lake, Minnesota, and it comes with serious Twin Cities restaurant credibility behind it.
SliceCraft will open March 21 inside Lupulin Brewing, introducing Sicilian and Roman inspired pizza slices to the northwest metro.
A Partnership Between Familiar Twin Cities Names
SliceCraft is a collaboration between Shaz Khan, co founder of Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks, and Adam Bresina, founder of Egg on a Roll in Minneapolis’ North Loop.
Khan has grown Tono to 10 locations across the Twin Cities. Bresina most recently served as executive chef at the Minneapolis Club and built Egg on a Roll into a recognizable fast casual brand with multiple locations.
Bresina will now serve as director of culinary operations and innovations for Khan’s broader hospitality group. That portfolio includes Tono, Frank and Andrea in Dinkytown, and the upcoming Gambino’s Coal Fired Pizza in downtown St. Paul.
What Makes SliceCraft Different
SliceCraft will operate out of a 1,000 square foot modular kitchen inside Lupulin Brewing. The layout is designed without traditional hood systems or gas lines, allowing for flexibility and efficiency in production.
The concept will focus on Sicilian and Roman inspired slices, paired with an eight seat chef counter where guests can watch their pizza being made.
This chef counter element is not common in quick service pizza, especially outside core areas like Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Why Big Lake?
Big Lake, located in Sherburne County, has experienced steady residential growth in recent years as buyers look beyond the core Twin Cities for more space and relative affordability.
Bringing a chef driven concept like SliceCraft to Big Lake signals confidence in the area’s continued growth and demand for quality dining options.
For homeowners in the northwest metro, new restaurant openings like this contribute to overall lifestyle appeal and community value. Dining, breweries, and local gathering spots matter when buyers evaluate where they want to live.
As more hospitality brands expand beyond Minneapolis, suburbs and outer ring communities stand to benefit.
If you are watching growth patterns across the Twin Cities metro, Big Lake is one to keep on your radar.
