Designed to store up to 125 vehicles once lifts are installed, the site will include climate-controlled garages, restoration and maintenance services, and a sleek members’ lounge — complete with a rooftop patio and social amenities.

Crowe Companies’ Vision for a Car Community

Developer Crowe Companies, which purchased the property for $4.5 million, is transforming the space into a full-fledged lifestyle destination. In addition to the Millrace buildout, Crowe is planning a nearby 100-unit “car condo” development — private, customizable garage-style suites that could be used for car collections, hobbies, or workspaces. The condos will range from 800 to 2,400 square feet and are envisioned as the next evolution of the Twin Cities’ luxury lifestyle market.

A Prime Spot for Twin Cities Enthusiasts

Just off the intersection of Highway 100 and I-394, the location is ideal for Millrace’s client base, which includes car collectors and enthusiasts from Edina, downtown Minneapolis, and the Lake Minnetonka area. The new facility is expected to begin storing vehicles by November, with a grand opening planned for spring 2026.
