The city of Maple Grove just approved a major project that’s about to change the wellness and lifestyle scene in the northwest metro. Life Time has received planning commission approval for a new 115,000-square-foot wellness facility in the heart of the upcoming Minnesota Health Village, a 100-acre mixed-use development near Interstate 94 and Highway 610.
This state-of-the-art Life Time location is not just a gym—it’s a full lifestyle experience. The facility will include multiple pools (indoor and outdoor), a luxury spa, a kids' academy, fitness studios, indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, a rooftop amenity deck with a bistro, and dedicated recovery areas. Two floors of top-tier wellness amenities are planned, with the goal of opening in 2027.
The new Life Time replaces the existing Maple Grove location, which is being traded to the city as part of a land exchange. Once vacated, the current site will become part of a reimagined Maple Grove Community Center campus. Life Time is expected to employ over 200 people at the new location.
Future phases of Minnesota Health Village will include residential development, with plans for 200–400 walkable multifamily units. Though no skyways are planned, the community will be integrated, giving residents direct access to Life Time’s world-class amenities.
