Pickleball continues to explode in popularity across Minnesota, and now Lakeville might be the next hot spot. Pickle in the Middle, a local pickleball operator with locations in Brooklyn Park and Lake Elmo, is proposing a massive 42,000-square-foot facility in Lakeville, Minnesota. If approved, it will offer 15 indoor courts, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The proposed space at 21300 Juniper Way would be part of the new Lakeville 35 Logistics Center. Unlike traditional sports centers, this facility would operate with minimal staffing. Players would enter using a unique access code and the facility would be monitored by cameras, with a manager visiting daily.
While there won't be food or drink on-site, players can look forward to organized leagues, open play sessions, and court rentals. The project, designed by Lampert Architects, is currently pending approval of a conditional use permit. If it passes, construction would move forward, with an opening anticipated in winter 2026.
Pickleball lovers across Dakota County and the south metro should keep a close eye on this development. And with other pickleball facilities opening recently in Woodbury, Brooklyn Park, and Plymouth, Minnesota continues to solidify its place as a top-tier pickleball destination.
