HeyDude Opens First Minnesota Store at Twin Cities Premium Outlets

Minnesota shoppers are getting a new footwear option: HeyDude is opening its first dedicated store in the state at Twin Cities Premium Outlets in Eagan.

Founded in 2008 by Italian entrepreneur Alessandro Rosano, HeyDude has grown into a global casual footwear brand known for its lightweight loafers. The shoes feature foam inserts, breathable fabric uppers, and flexible outsoles — making them popular for both comfort and style. In 2022, HeyDude gained even more traction when it was acquired by Crocs Inc.

Why Eagan?

While HeyDude shoes have long been available in Minnesota through retailers like DSW, Mall of America, and Tradehome Shoes, the brand has never had a dedicated brick-and-mortar presence in the state. The new location at Twin Cities Premium Outlets gives shoppers direct access to their full lineup. Situated in the center court near Claire’s and Vera Bradley, the store will be surrounded by other popular footwear retailers including Nike Factory Store, Converse, Merrell, and Crocs.

Regional Expansion

The move signals HeyDude’s expansion into the Twin Cities retail scene. Their next closest store is located in Wisconsin Dells, more than three hours away. For Eagan-area shoppers, this will make finding the latest HeyDude styles much easier.

Though HeyDude played a major role in Crocs’ growth in 2022, the brand has faced some challenges more recently. In the second quarter of 2025, HeyDude’s revenue fell by 3.4% compared to the previous year. Expanding its brick-and-mortar presence may be one way the company is working to strengthen its market reach.
