Face Foundrié: Minnesota Spa Brand Expands to 73 Locations Nationwide

Minnesota is well known for its lakes, its sports, and its strong business community — and now, it’s also home to one of the country’s fastest-growing spa chains. Face Foundrié, founded by Michele Henry in 2019 at the Galleria in Edina, is on track to operate 73 locations by the end of 2025.

From Edina to National Recognition

When Henry opened the first Face Foundrié location, her vision was to bring accessible luxury skincare services like facials, lash extensions, waxing, and professional-grade products to everyday clients. Within just a few years, the concept proved so popular that franchising became the next step. By 2021, Face Foundrié had already expanded beyond its initial three Twin Cities locations in Edina, Minneapolis’ North Loop, and Maple Grove.

Today, the chain ranks as the 20th-largest Minnesota-based franchisor, putting it alongside some of the state’s most recognizable names.

The Post-Covid Wellness Boom

Henry credits much of the brand’s success to the wellness industry’s explosive growth following Covid-19. Consumers have placed a higher value on self-care, and Face Foundrié tapped into that demand with a scalable, well-documented franchise system. With nearly 100 more groups in the pipeline, the growth story is just beginning.

Minnesota Roots, National Reach

What makes Face Foundrié unique is that it’s not just growing — it’s thriving while staying true to its Minnesota origins. Locations in Edina, Maple Grove, and Minneapolis continue to see year-over-year growth, demonstrating strong staying power in their home market.

Henry has also launched another new concept — Lasérie, an AI-powered medspa — further cementing Minnesota as a hub for beauty and wellness innovation.

What This Means for Minnesota Businesses

Face Foundrié’s story is a perfect example of how Minnesota-born brands can expand nationally while maintaining their local identity. For residents and business owners in the Twin Cities, it’s a reminder that Minnesota continues to be fertile ground for bold ideas.

If you’re considering making a move in or around the Twin Cities, staying plugged into local business growth can also give you insight into which neighborhoods are thriving. Strong local brands often signal strong community demand — and that can have a positive effect on housing markets.
