Experience Frightful Fun at ValleyScare This Halloween Season
Minnesota’s favorite amusement park is about to get a spooky twist. Valleyfair, located in Shakopee, transforms into ValleyScare, the largest Halloween attraction in the region, running select nights from September 20 through November 1, 2025.
Haunted Mazes, Scare Zones, and Entertainment
ValleyScare is known for delivering thrills that go beyond roller coasters. This year’s lineup includes five haunted mazes and seven scare zones, designed to immerse guests in creepy, heart-pounding experiences. The haunted mazes require a Haunted Attractions Pass, a new addition for 2025, offering enhanced scares and improved attractions. Beyond the frights, guests can enjoy live entertainment, themed shows, and nighttime rides across the park.
Tricks and Treats for Families
Not a fan of scares? Valleyfair hasn’t forgotten about families and younger guests. Starting September 27, the park will host Tricks and Treats weekends—family-friendly daytime events featuring costume contests, festive games, fall-inspired food, and live entertainment. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween without the jump scares.
Ticket Information
General admission to ValleyScare starts at $30, with prices varying by date. Haunted mazes require the additional Haunted Attractions Pass, while scare zones, rides, and live entertainment are included with admission. One ticket also grants access to Tricks and Treats weekends, allowing guests to experience both family fun and nighttime frights in a single visit.
Why You Should Go
ValleyScare offers something for everyone—thrill seekers, families, and anyone who loves Minnesota fall traditions. Whether you’re screaming your way through a haunted maze, riding coasters under the crisp October night sky, or enjoying pumpkin-themed treats with the kids, Valleyfair’s transformation into ValleyScare is a must-do Twin Cities Halloween experience.
