If you’re looking for festive fun this Independence Day, the Twin Cities metro is stacked with amazing 4th of July parades. From traditional marching bands and floats to kids’ bike rides and even a boat parade, there’s something for every kind of Minnesotan. Here’s a full list of 12 great options to help plan your day:
  1. Forest Lake Parade – 10:00 am–Noon
  2.  Route starts at Broadway & 6th St SW. Expect floats, community groups, and classic small-town vibes.
  3. Edina Parade – 10:00 am
  4.  Begins at Edina City Hall and features veterans, musicians, horses, clowns, and more.
  5. Delano Parade – 10:30 am at 559 N River Street
  6.  This is one of Minnesota’s largest parades—expect a big crowd and even bigger entertainment.
  7. Eagan Funfest Parade – 10:00 am–Noon
  8.  Held at 1501 Central Parkway, this one’s family-focused with music and activities.
  9. Lake Elmo Kids’ Parade – 10:00 am
  10.  Perfect for younger families—bring your decorated bikes and wagons!
  11. Excelsior Kids Bike Parade – 11:00 am
  12.  Starts at Kowalski’s and rolls to Excelsior Commons. Bonus: tons of lakeside charm.
  13. St. Anthony Park “Fourth in the Park” – 11:00 am
  14.  A beloved community tradition along Como Avenue, ending in Langford Park.
  15. Richfield Parade – 1:15 pm
  16.  Marches down 70th Street from Veterans Park—look for local businesses, bands, and more.
  17. Apple Valley Parade – 1:00 pm
  18.  Kicks off at Fireside Dr and Pennock Ave, with tons of floats and civic pride.
  19. Afton Parade – 1:00 pm
  20.  Small-town charm at its best along Afton’s Main Street.
  21. Chanhassen Parade – 2:30 pm
  22.  Downtown Chanhassen is the place to be for a vibrant, community-wide event.
  23. White Bear Lake Boat Parade (1pm) + Grand Parade (6:30pm)
  24.  A unique twist! Watch boats float by in the afternoon, then enjoy the full Grand Parade in the evening as part of Manitou Days.
