It’s officially spooky season prep time—and Spirit Halloween is wasting no time. The pop-up retailer just unveiled its *2025 Minnesota locations*, and they’re haunting some familiar territory.
In total, *17 former retail spaces* across the Twin Cities metro and greater Minnesota are being transformed into Halloween havens. The list includes former *JoAnn Fabrics* in Woodbury, Roseville, and Maple Grove; a *Forever 21* at Mall of America; an old *Herberger’s* in Mankato; and even a *former Hobby Lobby* in Blaine.
Spirit Halloween has long been known for its seasonal strategy—filling up vacant big-box stores just in time for fall. It’s a smart move for both the company and landlords: Spirit gets high-visibility, low-commitment retail space, and landlords benefit from increased foot traffic and buzz during an otherwise slow season.
