On August 19, 2025, Live Nation and Swervo Development Corp announced the launch of Mystic Lake Amphitheater, a purpose-built 19,000-capacity outdoor concert venue set to open in summer 2026. Located just five miles north of Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Shakopee, this will be the first large-scale outdoor amphitheater in Minnesota.

Owned and operated by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC), Mystic Lake Amphitheater is designed with both fans and artists in mind. That includes $73 million in fan spending at local businesses, $11 million in tax revenue, and over 700 new jobs. With half of that spending expected from visitors outside the Twin Cities, Shakopee is poised to see a surge in tourism, development, and hospitality demand.
Shakopee Mayor Matt Lehman called the project a “major milestone” and emphasized its role in positioning the city as a premier entertainment destination in Minnesota.
