Dangerous Man Brewing Reopens in Northeast Minneapolis This Weekend

Dangerous Man Brewing Reopens in Northeast Minneapolis This Weekend

A Beloved Brewery Gets a Second Chance

Dangerous Man Brewing is officially reopening this Saturday, June 13, at 861 East Hennepin Avenue in northeast Minneapolis. The craft brewery earned a devoted local following during its original run from 2013 to 2023 at a nearby location on NE 2nd Street.

After operating without a taproom and eventually shutting down completely in early 2025, the brand found new life under owner Jeremy Khuns.

Khuns purchased Dangerous Man about a year ago and made the critical decision to keep original head brewer Rob Miller, the man whose thick beard inspired the brewery's name when a friend's toddler called him "the dangerous man."

Miller's continued involvement means the recipes that built the brand's reputation are intact and ready to pour.

What to Expect at the New Taproom

The new space occupies the former HeadFlyer Brewing location inside the historic Miller Textile Building, which also houses Five Watt Coffee and features a spacious patio overlooking Hennepin Avenue.

The interior has been thoughtfully redesigned with tiered block woodwork, industrial black metal accents, and a striking wall mural showcasing signature Dangerous Man artwork.

OG Zaza, the popular pizza maker that operated at this location during much of HeadFlyer's run, returns as the resident food truck.

The brewery also expanded a back room into what they're calling the Barrel Room for private events, and weekly programming including comedy and trivia nights is on the way.

Opening weekend features limited release beers including Sake Rice Lager, Nordic Lemon Squeeze, a lemon infused farmhouse ale, and Rebel Rebel Kettle Sour brewed with coconut and pineapple.

Flagship favorites like Peanut Butter Porter, House IPA, Dry Irish Stout, and Kölsch will also be on tap alongside seltzers and nonalcoholic options.

Saturday hours are noon to 11 PM and Sunday noon to 8 PM.

Why This Matters for Northeast Minneapolis

Northeast Minneapolis has long been one of the Twin Cities' most dynamic neighborhoods for arts, food, and nightlife.

The return of Dangerous Man reinforces the area's reputation as a destination for craft beer lovers and signals continued investment in the local business scene.

For homeowners and prospective buyers, a thriving dining and entertainment corridor is one of the factors that supports neighborhood desirability and long-term property values.

Northeast Minneapolis remains one of the most sought after pockets of the city, and stories like this are part of the reason.
